Following a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection carries a value of over $1,300. Additionally, there exist multiple package options available here.
The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.
A regional fantasy map generated in Campaign Cartographer 3+.
The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits existing CC3+ users, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.
The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.
For a minimum of $30, the 39-item bundle includes all the following:
All 17 volumes from the Annual series come with this bundle, alongside a slew of additional tools and content enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, dungeons, urban centers, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies considering you even get introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal on any platform, the applications only function on Windows.
Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. There's also an donation allocation menu just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
