I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
